Great Bourton, Banbury, Oxfordshire
Barnstones campsite at Great Bourton, just North
of Banbury in Oxfordshire. A good campsite according to Dave & Karen
P., nearby pub is the Bell which is OK although a bit short of space for
the kids to roam. Campste is a bit likely to be hosting a rally but there's
lots of space and the staff were friendly when we visited in 2002

Radcot
A small Thames-side hamlet situated at an ancient crossing over the Thames
between Faringdon and Witney. Radcot Bridge is a fine, thirteenth century,
three-arched bridge, the eldest over the Thames. It is, however, very
high and narrow and was not built to accommodate today's juggernauts.
There used to be a sign affixed to a house in Church Street, Faringdon,
stating that Radcot Bridge was "impassable to vehicles of the Queen
Mary type", a Queen Mary being a kind of articulated lorry formerly
used by the Air Force and the Navy.
